What is letterboxing? According to Atlas Quest:
"Letterboxing is an intriguing pastime combining artistic ability with "treasure-hunts" in parks, forests, and cities around the world. Participants seek out hidden letterboxes by cracking codes and following clues. The prize: a miniature piece of art known as a rubber stamp—usually unique, hand-carved creations."

Brad and I went on this letterbox hike with my sister-in-law, Teresa. She was actually the one that first explained letterboxing to us, thanks Teresa. The park ranger told us to keep a look out for black bears. Luckily, we didn't see any!
We have found boxes in Illinois, Wisconsin, Tennessee, North Carolina and Georgia...so far!

Very interesting! I have never heard of it but it sure sounds like fun - a treasure hunt - fantastic!
He might be a tad too little yet but your son would probably love these adventures!
